T&T Japan Adventures

From the pages of T&T Adventures magazine in Japan, this fun product is translated into English with original Japanese illustrations and maps. Solitaire adventures, Gamemaster scenarios, FRPG Manga, and a special set of T&T mini-rules written by Ken St Andre especially for this product, all are included to make this a perfect book to introduce RPG to beginners, or fans of Japanese RPG. 60 pages only $15.95

You can also get a pdf of it at DriveThruRPG

OK I'm going to do some false advertising here. Recently, a talented sculptor and painter (Darcy Perry) created a "BuffaloRick" miniature figure. Here is a picture of a painted one:

I had him send me ten of these, and they are for sale. Note that the ones for sale are NOT PAINTED. You have to paint them yourself. But now that you have seen my painted one, you are going to imagine that yours will look just like mine! ;)
Unfortunately postage from New Zealand to USA is horrendous, so I'm going to have to charge too much for these. They are only about two inches high
You can buy a BuffaloRick miniature (if you are one of the first ten to order it) for $35.

Darcy also made a fantastic "Ken the Troll" miniature. It's at least twice a big as mine, and comes in four pieces. Here is a picture:

Once again, I have only ten of these to sell, and because of all the postage I paid for, I have to charge too much for them. Remember, if you buy one, it will NOT BE PAINTED. You'll have to paint it yourself. And assemble it and glue it together. But if you want to have a Ken miniature, it is $65.

Tunnels & Trolls is the second ever fantasy role playing game published. A fantasy role playing game is a game where a leader, usually known as the gamemaster, has created an adventure for a group of friends, and the friends play the game and try to solve the problem or rescue the princess or kill the dragon or whatever. Ken St Andre read and tried to understand That Other Fantasy RPG, and decided that he could invent one that was easier to understand and so T&T was born, over 30 years ago. The game has gone through several editions since then, but it remains popular and is played all over the world. A group of five of us created the latest version: the Deluxe Tunnels & Trolls.

It is too late to participate in the Kickstarter program we did to finance the creation of the new version. But you can still look at the kickstarter (to see what cool stuff you missed!) Click T&T to see the kickstarter. The kickstarter stays up indefinitely, which is kind of nice, and you can read all about it and watch the video.

Or you can watch the video here. It is the first video posted on my youtube page! Take a look

If you would like to see the list of wonderful people who supported us, or the great retail stores who also supported us (and will be carrying T&T once we get the books printed) click on www.flyingbuffalo.com/deluxetnt.htm.

One of the extras we are creating for the kickstarter is a set of magnets. Here is our artists rendition of them. The "Early Bird" magnet is only for those who supported our kickstarter in the first week. If you want one, you'll have to buy it from one of the kickstarter supporters who is willing to part with it.
To buy the Nyaah magnet for $2:

To buy the unicorn magnet for $2:

To buy the studious mage magnet for $2:

To buy the Tunnels & Trolls Portal magnet for $2:

To buy all four magnets for $7:

Another extra we created for our backers was a set of four coins from four of the famous cities of Trollworld. If you would like to buy one or a set of four, any one coin is $40, and the set of four is $100. Each coin comes in a plastic pouch, and that is inside a velvet-like bag. NOTE: These are here now, but I don't plan to ship them until AFTER I have shipped them to our loyal kickstarter backers. So this would be a "preorder". Please don't expect to get them until January. To buy the copper coin:

To buy the Ril coin:

To buy the all four coins:

We have a lovely embroidered dicebag that uses the iconic "Demon Head" logo created by Dan "Ugly John" Carver. (For those of you who don't know him, Dan is the author of the "Ungle Ugly's Underground" T&T adventure, and creator of a lot of original T&T art. )

To buy the Dice Bag for $20:

Here is a picture of the easel binder we made for our kickstarter supporters. We only made a few extras, and we are going to sell the extras for $40 because they are expensive to make and a pain to ship.
To buy the Easel Binder for $40:

We created a bunch of 1 Gig flashdrives with our logo printed on them, and a bunch of T&T pdfs already loaded onto it. It includes the new Deluxe T&T rules, Buffalo Castle, City of Terrors, Deathtrap Equalizer, Dungeon of the Bear, Saving Fang, and the First Edition reprint; plus a short edition of the rules (what we gave away on free RPG day), a printable GM Screen, a poster of the COT cover, and the old T&T computer game (Crusaders of Khazan), the Nuclear War computer game, and a homebrew Bard's Tale we call "The Buftale" (these last three, you will need to be able to run DOS on your computer to use them. They are that old.)
All of the above on a single flashdrive, only $30.

During our kickstarter, Ken offered that if anyone purchased his last copy of the ORIGINAL T&T rulebook from 1975, he would write a solo adventure specifically for it, and we would provide a pdf of that adventure and of a reprint of the original rules to all our backers. You can buy both of those pdfs at DriveThruRPG
and you can buy a printed copy of the reprint right here for $10. Please note that it is black & white art, and typewritten copy. (Remember, Ken made this in 1975). It's kinda pricy at $10, but we only print a few at a time and that makes it cost more for us. But it is a fun bit of travel down Nostalgia Lane!

Meanwhile you can purchase a pdf of the old 4th Edition of T&T from 1977 at DriveThruRPG
or from E23. They are available there for the old original price of $4!

Or you can also pick up a free pdf of a short version of the T&T 5th edition rules, available at either DriveThru or E23 above. Or you can go to the Solitaire Adventures page and buy one of the pocket sized double solo adventure books. They each include the short version of the rules in the front, sufficient to play all the solitaire adventures. Or you can buy one of the Free RPG Day booklets mentioned at the bottom of that page.

Solitaire adventures? Yes, in addition to playing this rpg with a group of your friends, T&T is well suited for solo play. We have published many adventures where the book is the gamemaster, and you can play it by yourself with just a pencil and some dice. (Note: our game uses ordinary 6-sided dice, unlike some other, more complicated games.) Click on the link above and read more about the solo adventures.

If you would like some pre-made adventures already written for you, that you can play with a group of your friends, we have a few:

We do plan to make the older versions of the T&T rules available as pdfs in the near future. Watch this space. Or sign up for our mailing list.

(Tunnels & Trolls was written by Ken St Andre) and edited and developed by (and cover art by) Elizabeth Danforth

Plan to come to our Annual T&T Convention in Arizona in July. Click here for information about the convention, and a link to sign up.

This is a great tshirt with artwork by the magnificent Liz Danforth. $20. Please specify size.

NOTE: If you are interested in foreign language (non-English) editions of our T&T or Catalyst books, click here.

If you are considering teaching an RPG to a small child, you might find this pictureamusing.

(To see a color picture of the old box set, and black & white gifs of the solo adventure covers, click here.

Please note: There is no official "6th Edition" of Tunnels & Trolls. None has ever been authorized, nor will one be. T&T is a trademark of Flying Buffalo Inc, and Flying Buffalo and Fiery Dragon are the only people publishing authorized English language editions.

In 1976 Ken St Andre created a variant of T&T called Monsters! Monsters! It is a complete game, where you play the Monsters instead of the heroes. It was originally published by Metagaming, and reprinted by Flying Buffalo. It includes cover and interior art by Liz Danforth. To see the cover, and/or buy a copy, click this link. (No one other than Metagaming or Flying Buffalo has ever been given permission to print this game.)

Mage’s Blood & Old Bones. An anthology of short stories (not a game) about the T&T world, written by the various people who created it: Ken St Andre, Mike Stackpole, Elizabeth Danforth, Bear Peters, Katharine Kerr, and Mark O'Green. With a foreword by Dennis L McKiernan. $7.95

Although this fantasy role-playing and fiction magazine is no longer being published, we sometimes have back issues available. Each issue has either a short mini-solo adventure for T&T or a short Gamemaster Scenario that can be used with T&T or other fantasy role playing games. There were only 16 different issues, although the last one is numbered 17. Issue 9/10 is a double issue. We currently have plans to reprint these adventures in a new format. Watch this space!

All on your lonesome, you've had enough of sudoku and watching TV and you want to play T&T? Well, how about a couple of T&T Solitaire Adventures? The book is the gamemaster, and each can be played many times. The solo adventures listed here are coded for difficulty, number & type of characters permitted within. "War" means warrior; "Wiz" means magic-user; "any" means any character class allowed (warrior, wizard, or rogue). "L1-3" means it is for 1st through 3rd level characters. "MM" means Magic Matrix is included. [Note: Missing numbers are out of print. Please don’t ask us for them. We suggest you check stores that sell used games, or try game auctions at conventions, or put a classified ad in a gaming magazine. Many magazines will put "items wanted" ads from gamers for practically nothing.]

(To see black & white gifs of the solo adventure covers, and a color picture of the box set, click here.

Note: It is very difficult to publish a solo adventure with jumbled paragraphs without making any errors! Our "errata sheet" for T&T solo adventures is located at the errata page.

We created a great GM screen for Deluxe T&T and you can have one for only $5 plus shipping.

Below you will see an opportunity to buy a copy of the color map from the T&T computer game. It is great, but the team has created a newer, even better map which is now available for $8.95. This new map shows much more, and is 17x22 in full color.

Map of the T&T Continent: the color map from the T&T computer game (see below). The Dragon Continent: shows the location of the City of Gull on the Isle of Phoron, the cities of Khosht and Knor, Castle Frostgate, the town of Kasar, the city of Khazan, etc. $5.

T&T Computer Generated Character Sheets: an envelope with 25 computer generated characters for T&T with weapons, items & languages. Each package unique. $5

New World Computing released a computer game based on the T&T universe. This game is very true to the original RPG & the solos. Liz Danforth, the editor and artist of the T&T rules worked on the computer game, which is quite extensive. Available on CD for IBM format. You get a scanned copy of the rulebook and map. You can buy a hard copy of the map above. You will need to be able to run a DOS program on your computer to make this work. $10.00
