Entry, or re-entry into the tournament costs $1.00. The fee will be waived (once per receipt) if the player has purchased any "LOST WORLDS" product, at this convention.
(*Notes for the Manticore: Undead characters are not affected by venom.)
Character improvement bonuses (i.e. fantasy cards) will be awarded by the Tournament Master to a player's character after a character scores 5, 10, 15, 20, etc., victories. The cards are issued one per occasion from a random deck. If the card is not appropriate for the character issued, then the TOURNAMENT MASTER will draw again.

Anytime a player is scheduled to play "Bye", he automatically wins. Players play until they have two losses. The last player left is the winner, and the last person he defeated is second place, and the loser of the final "losers round" game is 3rd place.
Players can play each other anywhere they meet; in the store, at home, etc. A player can challenge any other player wearing a tournament badge to play one game. The challenged player must accept the challenge or suffer a 1/2 point loss.
Note the following three exceptions:
To record a victory, either player must report the result to the Tournament Master, who will post the results on a public board. Players must remember to get their opponents' character number. No victories can be credited without both the winning and losing players' numbers.
The winner is the character with the greatest number of victories without three losses. Second place is the second greatest number of victories without three losses. Third place, or consolation prize, is the character with the greatest number of wins with three losses.
(Note: this can be run as an all-day event with the players hanging around the store for one day, or can be spread out over a week or more with players reporting results, which are recorded on a large board for everyone to see.)
(The reporting form may be obtained from Flying Buffalo.)
(Note to the Tournament Master: everyone whose name & address is reported to us, will receive something from us in the mail. If we find you have reported people who do not exist, or did not play in the tournament, we reserve the right to cancel points awarded, deduct an equal number of points from your previous total, and/or ban you from being a tournament master. If we get any returns at all, we will be checking with the store or convention. This system is set up to encourage you to get as many players in the tournament as possible, and we realize it will also encourage a small number of people to cheat. Please don't. This is supposed to be fun for everyone. Please try to make sure all participants give you genuine addresses, and just don't report anyone who seems suspicious or wants to report a pseudonym. If someone wants to play, but doesn't want to give an address, allow them to play; they just don't count for scoring. If one of these people should happen to win, award them the local prize, tell them what they would win if you send their score to us, and give them one more chance to give you an address to send in. If they still don't want to get their name on our mailing list, when you make the report, just say the winner didn't want his name listed. We will still award points to the other places, and the one point for participating to everyone else.)
(Note to the EMAIL tournament master: you are welcome to ask questions, make suggestions, or report problems by email. But we want the official winners report by postal mail, with a return address and real signatures. Sorry - just my paranoia I guess.)
