You have entered Room Twelve. Inside is an old man sitting behind a desk. Leaning against the wall is a very elaborate magic staff. On the wall hangs a diploma from the 17th Level Wizards' School.
The old man smiles at you. He is nonchalantly flipping a coin over and over. He offers to flip you double or nothing for any of your attributes (permanent change), Strength, Intelligence, Luck, Constitution, Charisma, Dexterity, or all your gold.
You may attack the old man, or just decline to flip, or agree to flip. If you agree to flip, decide first what you are going to risk.
